BUBBLY GRAND TOUR, from Champagne to Bourgogne
Reims, Hautvillers, Epernay, Chalons, Troyes, Dijon, Route des Grands Crus.
8Days 7Nights
The Champagne region is known for producing some of the world’s finest sparkling wines (champagne). The region’s unique terroir i.e. chalky soils, and a cool, continental climate, provides ideal growing conditions for the three grape varieties used in champagne production: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
We will explore the vineyards, tour prestigious champagne houses, and sample a wide range of champagnes, including brut, sec, and rosé varieties, as well as family-owned champagne producers in the region who produce exceptional wines using traditional methods.
The region is also known for its rich culinary traditions, including local specialties such as andouillette sausage, Chaource cheese, and Reims mustard.
Bourgogne (also known as Burgundy) is a region in eastern France famous for its wines, gastronomy, and historic sites; it is home to some of the world’s most famous wine regions, including Côte d’Or, Chablis, and Beaujolais. You will tour vineyards and cellars, taste the region’s celebrated wines, and learn about wine making traditions.
Bourgogne is steeped in history and boasts many medieval towns and castles, is renowned for its gastronomy, including dishes such as coq au vin, beef bourguignon, escargots, and cheeses such as Epoisses and Comté; the countryside is dotted with picturesque villages, forests, lakes, and rivers, offering many opportunities for outdoor activities.
